- Lunch date with friend
Get out of the house! Sometimes that continuous cycle of working and going home is draining, pick out your fav fit and catch up with a friend!
- An activity outside
Additionally Getting some fresh air and also being more active increases your endorphins making you feel happier!
- date night (can be by yourself)
Getting dressed and going to your favorite restaurant or going to see a movie, gets you out of the house and changes the scenery that you are used to being around. This is the epitome of self-care
- 24 hours no social media
Declutter your brain! Give yourself a break, without knowing it, when you are always on social media you are unconsciously comparing, competing, and maybe even getting discouraged about things in your life that you don’t have that others do. Take a day away from it all and breath.
- A Night out with friends
Go out to a bar and grab a drink or even go to a club, have a game night a friends place. What ever it is have fun. (I have my go to “go out” friends and they NEVER disappoint, hit up that friend who gets you out of your head!)
- A Pamper yourself Day
Also, ‘I love myself because I am cute, awesome, funny, and blessing to the world day!’ Or as others call it a self care day. Bring out the candles, face masks, chocolates, ice cream, favorite movies etc or set up appointments for a massage, or a manicure and pedicure. Order in your favorite food, whatever it is, take care of you boo!
- Movie/Netflix day
Put on your favorite lounging clothes (Mine is pictured above, it is so comfy) and binge watch some shows or movies on Netflix! Article coming soon on my all time favorite shows and movies on Netlfix
- A Day learning a new skill
I learned how to say I love various food items in spanish for a whole day. It was random but I had so much fun. Pick out something you want to learn how to do and try it out for that day.
- A night cooking dinner for you or someone else
I have done this many times. I pulled out my cookbook and picked out Filet Mignon and creamy mashed potatoes. It was delicious and it feels so good to cook something you love to eat or rarely get too. Put on some music loosen up and have fun. Self care at it’s finest.
- Self-Care Survival Kit
Put together a self care kit with things from sage, to face masks, to eye masks, to nail polishes, bath bombs and more. The result? A relaxed, pampered, taken care of you.
- Read a good book
Books engulf you making you imagine you’re somewhere else, it is a great way to escape temporarily into imaginary worlds. Above all it is also a very good way to decompress
- Read a personal development book
These are crucial. Development books are essential in self-care. They feel so good to read because they challenge you and push you and they motivate you as well. These make you hone in on your purpose and gives you goals for yourself. Development books are essential in self-care.
- Take a nap
Sometimes you push yourself and you don’t give yourself the proper sleep to rejuvenate yourself take a proper nap (15min) or take a nap (30-45min)
- Declutter an area in your home
THIS! Omg when I tell you, cleaning my bedroom is therapeutic! I urge you get up and clean a space of your home that you are always in or that you always pass. It feels so good emotionally and mentally to be in a clear, open space. It feels like your mind gets uncluttered as well
- Write a letter to yourself
Either motivate your self in this letter or vent. Both helps you feel lighter when you are through
- Solo dance party
This one is my favorite! Grab your favorite wine or don’t drink at all either way turn up the music and just dance, dance, dance
